What should I consider when moving in?

When the apartment is handed over, you should check in which condition the apartment is and document any existing damages in a handover protocol. We recommend taking photos of the furniture and electrical appliances when moving in. You and the landlord/-lady should send these pictures to each other by email to record the date on which the pictures were taken.

With the help of the handover protocol signed when you move in, it can be checked when you move out whether any damage has occurred during your tenancy. These can then be offset against the security deposit.
