Introduction to DAC7
DAC7 is an enhancement to an existing EU directive [Directive 2011/16/EU], which aims at improving tax cooperation across EU nations. Wunderflats, as a German company operating within the EU, has to report specific legal information about the landlords using our platform, along with their property listings, to the German Tax Authorities.
DAC7 applies to all digital platforms facilitating the sale of goods or services, including property rentals. As Wunderflats is such a platform, we fall under its purview.
If you’re unable to accept listing requests for a particular listing, it’s likely due to missing tax information or billing details. Here’s how you can easily update this information:

2. Go to 'My account' and click on 'Profile'.
3. Enter your date of birth information, then click on 'Save profile'.
4. Go to 'Billing details' and click 'Add billing details' to enter your tax-ID. Click 'Add billing details' again to save.
For landlords with a commercial account:
1. Go to your My account page and select your “Billing details”
2. Click on the edit icon and enter the “TAX ID number” and “Company registration number”
3. Click on "Update billing details" to save.
No need to worry, your existing bookings won’t be impacted. However, if you’ve completed a booking, we’ll require your tax ID by the end of the current year to stay compliant.
Yes, you can continue accepting booking requests. However, if you’ve had a successful booking, we’ll need your tax ID by the end of the current year to ensure compliance. If you don’t provide this information by then, you won’t be able to accept new booking requests for that particular listing until it’s updated.
Absolutely! You can still create new listings and make updates to your current ones. However, accepting new booking requests for any listing that’s missing tax information won’t be possible until the details are provided.
