The Rudolfkiez is (still) an insider tip in Berlin. It is located between Friedrichshain and Kreuzberg, directly on the Spree. It's completely quiet in the evening, but you can be in the heart of Kreuzberg (Wrangelkiez) or Friedrichshain in 10 minutes. The underground Warschauer Str is also 10 minutes away and from there you can get everywhere. There is a small playground on Rudolfplatz, which is very popular.
