How does Wunderflats deal with misappropriation law?

As a measure to face housing shortages, many cities prohibit renting out living space for to tourists on a daily or weekly basis. Therefore, apartments offered by Wunderflats are not intended for short holidays or short stays. Temporary furnished housing is not prohibited by the regulations against misappropriation (Zweckentfremdung), if you observe all the requirements of your city or municipality. Wunderflats only acts as a broker for apartments for actual living purposes. As a landlord, you offer people the opportunity to find a temporary home quickly and easily with Wunderflats. Together with our landlords, we make sure that all living criteria are fulfilled and that accomodation criteria are excluded, for example:
  • - We work with all-inclusive rents that are payable per month.
  • - We verify the reason for stay of all potential tenants in order to exclude a tenancy for touristic purposes.
  • - We issue a valid fixed-term rental contract, which is limited for a certain period of time of at least one month.
  • - We ensure through our terms and conditions that every tenant can register in the apartment (Anmeldung) and is allowed to label their letter box and bell.
