The residential and factory building on Köpenicker Straße 10a has a long history and was built in 1889 in the Jugendstil style. The tenants of this time were craftsmen, engineers and merchants - Helmut Aust jam and canning factory GmbH settled down. In 2005, the building was completely redeveloped - nothing was lost from the original charm of the founding period. Surroundings: urban area, shopping facilities nearby, many well known restaurants. Just five minutes away is the famous Markthalle Neun, a hot spot for artisanal street food and organic groceries. Café Neun serves arguably one of the best coffees in town. For a quick fix in the morning there is a small Italian cafe just across the street that serves coffee and panini. Many clubs and bars within a 15 - 20 minute walking radius. There are also several supermarkets in the area. There is a discount supermarket and an all organic supermarket 5 minutes walk away. Up and down Wrangelstrasse you will find a variety of local shops and restaurants, and the neighbourhood is well worth exploring. Public Transport: Schlesisches Tor (U1) is a 3-5 minute walk away, and S Warschauer Strasse about 15 minutes. Both are good access points to the rest of the city. One of Berlin's main stations Ostbahnhof (for intercity train connections) is just 10 min away. The flat is non-smoking. We would like you to observe the quiet times in the courtyard after 10PM, that means minimal talking in the courtyard and on your balcony at night. No regular parties please. If you are planning of having a party please try to inform the neighbours and keep noise in the courtyard to an absolute minimum between the hours of 22pm -06am. You are more than welcome to have guests for dinner or drinks and the kitchen is fully equipped to cook in, just please observe the outside quiet times. We are dog and house cat friendly.
