What should I consider when moving in?

When moving in, make sure to check the condition of the apartment, document any damages in a handover protocol, and sign it together with the landlord when you get the keys. We recommend taking photos of the furniture and electrical appliances, and send them to each other with the landlord to record the date the pictures were taken.

Based on the handover protocol you'll sign when you move in, you and the landlord can check if any damages have occurred during your tenancy. The damages that are identified can then be deducted from the security deposit.
